Why I Learned How To Make A Solar Panel System

The power bills for electricity in my home were costing me an arm and a leg just to keep me and my family warm. It was getting to the point where I was turning the heat lower and lower and we were piling on blankets and sweaters just to watch TV or even cook a meal. This is just one of the many reasons why I learned how to make a solar panel system.

Everyone who had a solar system kept telling me how easy it was and in the long run how it saved them quite a bit of money. The last straw for me, was when a really cold storm came in and sat overhead for days, making my household budget for electricity double for that month. I was now behind on the power bill and didn’t know when I was going to catch up.

So research began, and I couldn’t believe the amount of easy to understand information about solar power that was available on the Internet. While my family sat and shivered, I researched and soon found that I too could save on the power bill with just a simple solar system.

First of all, I couldn’t afford to go out and buy a complete household system, so I went to the bank to look into a small loan to get started. The bank was totally supportive and I was able to purchase a simple system very quickly. I bought it used and made sure it was one that I could add to.

This small system had just one medium sized solar panel, a small bank of batteries and a converter. After all my research, I didn’t even have trouble hooking it up to my house, and immediately I was able to see the savings in my electric bill. The small loan was soon paid off and I was able to add to the system saving even more money.

While I enjoyed the immediate benefits of the small system, I also knew I was working on reducing the emissions from traditional energy sources allowing me to join the green revolution. Yes, I did sleep better at night; I also knew that this power supply source couldn’t be shut off due to nonpayment and that really made me sleep better.

Since it was so easy to learn how to make a solar panel system, I am now considering looking into other natural or replaceable energy sources. My next energy adventure will be looking at a small wind turbine to take advantage of a high windy area on my property. I found that just like a solar system, a wind system can be built and installed with just the Internet as my information source.

Using sun, wind or water as an energy source not only helps the planet in the long run, but you can immediately see the difference in your energy bill from traditional sources. We’re now warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer just because I got tired of paying the power bill and being cold all winter.
